About Us
The Catered Canine was established in 2007 though its roots began long before. Any dog lover could tell you "the nose, knows" and this could not be more true of my beloved hound dogs.
For some time I'd been feeding my dogs quality table foods such as salmon, cauliflower, and even my morning oatmeal. It always seemed to make a difference. The excitement in their eyes and enjoyment of licking their bowls clean every time. It was something wholesome I could provide for them and became something we both looked forward to. This soon became their full time diets and they appeared much happier and satisfied with life.
I began to wonder why these types of quality foods were not more readily available for pets and began working with animal nutritionist, Dr. Susan Lauten, to create a nutritionally sound, high quality, home cooked line of meals for dogs, and later cats, with The Catered Feline.
I am happy to be cooking these tail wagging, paw patting recipes for locals here on the North Shore and Bostonians alike. Straight from my kitchen to yours. It is my goal to provide your pet with a happier and healthier life through good old fashion home cooking. Bone- Appetit!
